The Editor Behind Ginger Nuts of Horror

Founder and editor

Jim “The Don” McLeod

Jim started Ginger Nuts of Horror 18 years ago while recovering from surgery, mostly because he thought the name was funny. It is now Europe’s largest independent horror review site. Jim is a British Fantasy Award nominee, and in 2026 the site won Best Inclusive Film and Book Review Platform at the SME News UK Enterprise Awards.

He edits the site, runs the review team and still writes many of the book reviews, film reviews and author interviews himself.
