Zach Passero spent eight years hand-drawing The Weird Kidz, an animated horror comedy about three sixth graders, a desert camping trip and a murderous monster. Hope Madden finds a crude but fond piece of Gen X nostalgia, with Ellar Coltrane among the voices, that never judges its kids.
