Empty Jug Productions in association with Concourse Media are delighted to share the news that their gory horror, Pig Hill, is set for its World Premiere at this year’s Frightfest on 23rd August.

Based on the novel by Nancy Williams, Pig Hill is directed by Kevin Lewis best known for the smash hit Willy’s Wonderland and stars Rainey Qualley (Shut In), Shane West (Salem) & Shiloh Fernandez (Evil Dead). 

Shot on location in Meadville, Pennsylvania — the origin of the real urban legend — Pig Hill follows Carrie (Qualley), a woman haunted by a series of unexplained disappearances. As she investigates, she becomes entangled in the local lore of the “pig people,” uncovering a terrifying truth hidden in generations of myth. Alongside her new friend Andy (West) and her brother Chris (Fernandez), Carrie’s search for answers becomes a desperate fight for survival.

Commenting on the release, Pig Hill’s Director Kevin Lewis added;

It is a tale of the remarkable power of the mind and how it will do anything to protect itself.”

Concourse Media represents worldwide rights and will be presenting the film to domestic distributors surrounding the FrightFest premiere.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Kevin’s early film efforts earned him a scholarship to the famed school of cinema at USC. While there he studied under with such established entertainment heavies as film directors John McTiernan and Renny Harlin and producer Lynda Obst. Kevin’s first feature film, THE METHOD (starring Sean Patrick Flanery, Robert Forster and Natasha Gregson Wagner) was picked up for distribution by Showcase Entertainment at the Slamdance Film Festival. His movies have appeared in dozens of film festivals winning many awards, Over the past decade, Kevin has directed THE DROP, DARK HEART, DOWNWARD ANGEL and THE THIRD NAIL with esteemed actors, such as Chloe Grace Moretz, Charles S. Dutton, Jonathan Banks, John Savage, and Sean Young.

In 2021, he released WILLY’S WONDERLAND starring Nicolas Cage as the film’s hero who goes up against demonic Chuck E. Cheese-esque robots when he’s forced to spend the night in a family pizza parlor restaurant. The insane horror ride instantly rose to cult status in the horror community. His next film, THE ACCURSED, starred an all-female led cast including Mena Suvari, Sarah Grey, Meg Foster, and Alexis Knapp and was released by Screenmedia in October 2022.

He’s currently finished the horror film OAK, starring Joey Lauren Adams, Armand Asante, and Catharine Daddario and is in post-production on two films PIG HILL starring Rainey Qualley, Shane West and Shiloh Fernandez and the thriller MISDIRECTION starring Frank Grillo, Olga Kurylenko and Oliver Trevena. Kevin also just wrapped production on “I Am Your Driver” a horror-thriller starring Jeremy Piven.
