The Ginger Nuts of Horror Review Website Header Image

Most of you know that a few weeks ago www.gingernutsofhorror.com was subjected to a hyperlink attack, and thanks to the useless customer support from Ipage, Ginger Nuts of Horror Website lost all of its SEO and Google ranking. It devastated me, 15 years of hard work effectively flushed down the toilet.

On top of that Ipage basically had me by the proverbial nuts, and has made it nigh on impossible to move the site to a brand new host, so I had to make the tough choice of metaphorically killing the old site. But don’t worry the old site will still be there thanks to the amazing work of Michael J. Nicholson, who is in the process of creating a parked version of the site, which once fully resolved will be hosted as an archive site. However thanks to Ipage living up to their reputation of being difficult, this process is proving to be a slow one. But don’t fear we are nearing the completion of this part of the process (I say we, it’s all Michael, I’m like a child watching a magician for the first time working their magic).

With that in mind welcome to the new home of your favourite horror review website. The Ginger Nuts of Horror now has a new home with A2 web hosting, and we will soon be back to posting horror reviews, news interviews and all manner of new and wonderful things.

Before I get back into properly promoting horror, I first need to make sure that I am comfortable with the process of creating articles with a new way of doing it. I won’t lie, it’s been frustrating as I have been used to a simple drag-and-drop builder and WordPress is a tough learning curve.

And since the need of having a new domain our email address has changed, can you all change your contact details for Ginger Nuts of Horror to ji*******@gn********.com

And now comes the important bit, Ginger Nuts of Horror used to rank on page one of Google, and in many cases ranked number one for such search terms as “Horror Book Reviews” etc, and this is where I need your help, I don’t know much about SEO, but I believe things like backlinks to our site, comments on the posts, social media shares, etc all help with ranking on Google, with that in mind can I ask you all to help with this, and place backlinks to the new site, and liking, retweeting, sharing all of the new posts such as our new pinned which can be found here

And finally, I would like to thank everyone who retweeted, liked and donated to the fundraiser for finding the costs of creating the new website. Without your help, Ginger Nuts of Horror would never have risen from the ashes. Thank you all.

Stayed tuned we have some great content coming your way, hopefully from a week today.

Suffered the same Jim on my music website and I gave up because it was too devastating. Site looks great and well done for having the commitment to resurrect.
