We Need You! Yes You! Right folks, Ginger Nuts of Horror is back. After the last two years of utter hell for me, it looks like that light at the end of the tunnel is a real light, not an onrushing train filled with explosives and manure.

First off

I would like to apologize to all the authors and publishers for the inconsistent coverage on the site over the last few years, especially in the last eight months. I feel terrible for dropping the ball so many times during this period. I have been struggling to exist recently due to the constant and never-ending physical pain I’ve been experiencing. This left me feeling low, depressed, angry, and unmotivated to do anything other than get through each day without doing something unthinkable. There were days when I came close to it, when the soul-crushing pain and the hurt I was causing others because of the pain and the frustration of not being able to do the simplest of things had me thinking this world would be better off without me.

But thankfully, those days are behind me. The operation was a success, and the pain of surgery is slowly but surely getting better each day. The crushing pain coming from my hip is, touch wood, totally gone. I am still in pain, with arthritis in both hands and damaged nerves in my shoulders, but that pain is nothing compared to what I was going through before. I won’t lie; there may be days when I can’t publish articles or reply to emails. Even today, my hands are a bit rough. But I hope this marks a new period in Ginger Nuts of Horror.

What Next?

It feels like the site has been sitting in neutral gear for too long, so I want to take it to a new level; I want it to get back to the basics of promoting the horror genre as loud and proud as possible.

I want this to be a new era on the site, where old feuds and arguments are put aside; I know there are a lot of folks out there who don’t like me, and that’s fine, but I am more than willing to sit, down at the table and hammer things out if possible. There has been far too much toxic behaviour in the genre of late, and if we can do something to reduce that, then let’s sit down and talk. My emails are open.
