4 Horror Movies to Watch on Netflix Right Now

4 Horror Movies to Watch on Netflix Right Now
The holiday season is just around the corner, so who in their right mind would binge horror movies when everything is all festive, jolly, and merry? Well, you’ve got me, and I’m assuming you would do… since you’re here. No judgment though, we can always enjoy a good scare no matter the season. One fact about me is that, as much as I love horror movies, I get scared easily. That also means I stay up all night overthinking imaginary ghosts and monsters in my closet and under my bed. Crazy, right?
Well anyway, I’m here to share with you four horror movies that I’ve recently watched on Netflix in the past week. Of course, these are worthy ones, in my opinion. Just a tip though, make sure you have a reliable internet service provider before watching so you can really enjoy these movies without interruptions. Ready? Let’s begin!
The Platform 2

If you’ve watched The Platform before, you’ll likely enjoy this movie. It’s not a full-on horror movie I tell you, but it’s extremely unsettling. There’s not a lot of movies that talk about social inequality in the rawest form, especially in a setting like a prison. To give you an idea, this movie is about a prison designed vertically. The inmates are fed through a descending platform where all the foods are placed every meal time.
The proper way to do it is to eat only what’s for you, which was asked before the prisoners were placed into the system. However, as you can imagine, greed, desperation, and survival instincts take over. After all, it’s our unfortunate human nature. Those on the upper levels feast while those below are left with scraps or nothing at all. This causes chaos to those below who have barely anything to eat. If they don’t eat, how can they survive?
Smile

Bro, this movie just creeps me out so much. And that film poster? Damn. I couldn’t get it out of my head, I hated it so much. Well, the movie is worth watching still. The movie is about Dr. Rose Cotter, a psychiatrist who experiences weird events after witnessing a traumatic incident involving one of her patients. This patient of hers took her own life in front of Rose, but before that happened, the patient had this terrifying smile on her face.
After that incident, Rose started hallucinating and seeing weird stuff. Shortly after, she found out that she’s been cursed. The only way to end the curse without dying? Kill someone and have someone else watch while you’re at it. This movie is crazy crazy. If TV streaming is your jam, make sure to gather your friends. This is one of the best horror movies I’ve seen in a while.
Ready or Not

Ready or Not is one of those movies that will keep you up at night, but it will entertain you for sure. It’s those type of films that say uh-oh-i’ve-joined-a-dysfunctional-family. What’s worse about this movie is it’s not just the typical toxic family members fighting for money or attention. They have this family tradition where they play a game when someone new joins the family.
Grace just got married to one of the family members of this family, and unfortunately, the game hide-and-seek is played on her wedding night. The twist? They have to kill whoever needs to hide. The family believes that if they don’t succeed in killing the hider, their entire family will die. When watching this, I really recommend you to have a fast internet connection. If not, it’s best to look for a better internet plan. A reputable internet provider like Metronet offers great internet plans for streaming.
A Quiet Place Part II

Having watched A Quiet Place in the cinemas before, I really enjoyed part II. It picks up right where the first film left off, but now, they’re in a bigger world. The dialogue is still limited, but the suspense is always there. Emily Blunt has always been so wonderful to watch, and this movie really suits her. As for the storyline, it’s all about survival and how to work and trust other people in this situation.
Wrapping Up
If you’re planning to binge-watch horror movies on Netflix this holiday season, trust me when I tell you, you’ll never go wrong with these four films. I have personally watched them and enjoyed them, and I think you will too. So, have fun and happy holidays! I wish you a very Merry Christmas!
